Just before I started the EMO, I decided to go off all of my antidepressants. I had been on the antidepressants for eighteen years and on seventeen different ones during those years. Every doctor that I had visited during those years told me that I would be on the drugs all my life. However, no matter what drug I was on or combination of drugs I was unstable emotionally. Constant depression hung on me even when on three or four pill cocktails. I was told that there was no other way. I had to take the pills and maybe a little exercise would help. When a person is that depressed, they do not feel like moving any part of their body. I would go to work half alive, sometimes contemplating suicide. I never got past the contemplating to the planning stage because of the support that my husband and my art gave kept me going.
In 2008, I received a VNS implant. It stimulates the Vagus Nerve as it goes into the brain and causes serotonin to be produced. It was the first time in my life that I experienced joy. I mean I experienced it at a different level than I had ever felt it before. Now I had something to fight for. Now I knew what life could be. But it took a mammogram finding a cyst in one of my breasts to shock me into trying even harder to lose weight and get my health back. So I started correcting my diet. I lost 40 lbs in 6 months. I went gluten free and pulled other things out of my diet, but the depression was still there. Even with the VNS and three antidepressants.
Then a relative recommended Dr. Dan. He looked at my x-rays and determined that the curvature of the neck that he calls the Arc of Life was not curved at all. This in itself could have caused my depression. So we started the adjustments. Over time the adjustments have made a massive difference in my mood, focus, and mental clarity.
At the same time Dr. Fernandez started the detoxification program to remove the excessive accumulation of lead from my body. I was feeling so good that I went cold turkey off the antidepressants. I didn’t tell anyone. I lasted about 4 weeks until I had to call Dr. Dan to tell him that I might have to go back on the drugs. Before going back on the drugs, I tried some great natural brain supplements to balance the brain as it needed it at that time. I came back to near normal faster than any antidepressant had ever done for me. I have up and down days, mostly up now and without the drugs that have ruled my life for eighteen years. When I needed support to just get through those tough days, the staff, and especially Dr. Dan were there to comfort me. This support has meant the world to me. No doctor has supported me in my quest for health as he has. I know that I have come home to where God wants me to be with my health.

Race for Health
In less than two weeks, you will have the opportunity to take part in an historic event. In less than two weeks, hundreds of people from all over Lake Mary and surrounding communities, hundreds of people from all over Seminole County and surrounding counties will join together for a cause. For the first time in history, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, grandmothers and grandfathers, sisters and brothers, pastors, firefighters, social workers, doctors, lawyers, and stay-at-home moms alike, blue collar workers, white collar workers, people from all walks of life, all races, religions, creeds, ethnicities, and origins will join together in support of a grand vision for change.
April 10th, 2010 will mark the very first annual YFCC Race for Health. For the first time in history, we will join together as a human race, not for the sake of finding or funding a supposed “cure” for disease, but for the sake of health itself. For the first time ever, we will join together in fellowship for the sake of promoting health and wellness, preventing disease, and living life to our fullest God-given potential.
So many races, runs, and walks have been conducted in the past in support of the “cure” for this disease or that one. Whether its breast cancer research, autism awareness, or the cure for cystic fibrosis, it seems every event supposedly for health is always fully focused on disease. How much sense does this make when what we’re really seeking is optimal health and human performance? Not one dime generated at these events goes to increasing the awareness of how to live a healthy lifestyle and prevent sickness and disease. Not one dime collected goes towards spreading the powerful message that we all know is the true foundation to healing from all sickness and achieving abundant longevity and vitality. Instead, the enormous amount raised from the donations of well-intended people goes in large part to drug companies – to BIG PHARMA – so that these companies can continue to manufacture their chemicals and brainwash us into thinking health and happiness come in the form of a little orange bottle with a white cap and a typed label.
April 10th, all of this changes. The morning of April 10th will mark a celebration of the human healing power, of responsible lifestyle choices for ourselves and for the people who depend on us, of overcoming adversity, and of understanding that all health, wealth, happiness, knowledge, and wisdom comes not from without – but from within. Join us in continuing to bring the truth to the masses, in saving and transforming lives, and in holding up the human race.
“If you can’t fly, run. If you can’t run, walk. If you can’t walk, crawl.
But by all means, keep moving.” ~Martin Luther King, Jr.
Maximum Blessings,
Dr. Isaac Hernandez
