Be a Doer!

February 15 2010, was truly a turning point in my life for a number of reasons. I had my first adjustment. After over twenty five years of suffering with what the medical doctors called an enlarged prostate, I got my life back after only a 90 second adjustment by Doctor Dan. He was able to remove the blockage from the brain to the prostate with just one adjustment. I was then able to completely empty my bladder without the usual stress, strain, and pain I had been suffering with for the last 25 years. That one adjustment also ended 25 years of waking up 7 to 10 times at night to try to empty my bladder along with the difficulties associated with trying to manage this condition all throughout the day. I now have my life back and can now function in the way that our Grand Creator Jehovah God intended. YES, “The Power Is On Baby!"

That very same evening, I attended my first Extreme Makeover class. I can truly say that these past 6 weeks have been an enriching, eye opening experience for both my wife and I. In addition to restoring my normal prostate function, we have had our eyes of understanding open to the selfish, greedy deception, fomented by the “FDA”, “AMA”, “THE CANCER SOCIETY” and so many other big business organizations that should be more concerned with the life, health, and welfare of their fellow brothers and sisters of our human family. How true are the words of our Lord Jesus when he said: “And YOU will know the truth, and the truth will set YOU free.” John 8:32

Jesus’ half brother, the Apostle James once said: “… become doers of the word, and not hearers only ... For if anyone is a hearer of the word, and not a doer, this one is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself, and off he goes and immediately forgets what sort of man he is. But he who peers into the perfect law that belongs to freedom and who persists in [it], this [man], because he has become, not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, will be happy in his doing [it]. (James 1:22-26) As Doctor Dan so nicely emphasized in his opening remarks each week, “we must be doers and not hearers only”.

My wife and I have become not "forgetful hearers, but doers [of the word]." For example, our shopping habits have totally changed. We now read with a greater understanding all labels before we make our selection of food items we purchase. We are completely off of all refined sugar, milk products, bad fats and processed foods. Other than a little fish and chicken, we are off of all red meats and fast food or should we say "toxic poisons”.

We have like-wise gone through the food we have already purchased before the EMO, to throw out all the poisons. We have replaced all the poisons with real organic food where possible. We will soon be sifting through our house hold cleaning items, to weed out all the poisons we may now have. Yes, we can truly say that February 15, 2010 was a turning point in our lives. It can only get better from this point on. Since that time, we have also been able to assist 8 other people to experience the blessings associated with the Yachter Family Chiropractor Clinic.

To sum up how we feel, after six wonderful week of intensive instruction, I would like to borrow an illustration used by our Lord and Master Jesus Christ after he delivered his famous 'Sermon on the Mount'. In that sermon, Jesus gave his listeners detailed instruction on how to successfully live their life. He outlined the things they should do and the things they should avoid. He then concluded his sermon with the following illustration: “Therefore everyone who hears these sayings of mine and does them will be likened to a discreet man, who built his house upon the rock-mass. And the rain poured down and the floods came and the winds blew and lashed against that house, but it did not cave in, for it had been founded upon the rock-mass. Furthermore, everyone hearing these sayings of mine and not doing them will be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand. And the rain poured down and the floods came and the winds blew and struck against that house and it caved in, and its collapse was great.” (Matthew 7: 24-27)

It is our hope that all those who had the privilege of attending the first 2010 EMO, will be like the discreet man who listened and built his house upon the rock-mass. For when the rains and the flood and the winds of life's adversities blow into our lives, because we have built our life on a solid rock mass by applying the many strategies we learned at the EMO, we will not cave in or collapse like the foolish man who did not listen and who built his life upon the sand which latter collapsed.

Keep up the good work Doctor Dan.

We love you and your staff.

Race for Health

In less than two weeks, you will have the opportunity to take part in an historic event. In less than two weeks, hundreds of people from all over Lake Mary and surrounding communities, hundreds of people from all over Seminole County and surrounding counties will join together for a cause. For the first time in history, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, grandmothers and grandfathers, sisters and brothers, pastors, firefighters, social workers, doctors, lawyers, and stay-at-home moms alike, blue collar workers, white collar workers, people from all walks of life, all races, religions, creeds, ethnicities, and origins will join together in support of a grand vision for change.

April 10th, 2010 will mark the very first annual YFCC Race for Health. For the first time in history, we will join together as a human race, not for the sake of finding or funding a supposed “cure” for disease, but for the sake of health itself. For the first time ever, we will join together in fellowship for the sake of promoting health and wellness, preventing disease, and living life to our fullest God-given potential.

So many races, runs, and walks have been conducted in the past in support of the “cure” for this disease or that one. Whether its breast cancer research, autism awareness, or the cure for cystic fibrosis, it seems every event supposedly for health is always fully focused on disease. How much sense does this make when what we’re really seeking is optimal health and human performance? Not one dime generated at these events goes to increasing the awareness of how to live a healthy lifestyle and prevent sickness and disease. Not one dime collected goes towards spreading the powerful message that we all know is the true foundation to healing from all sickness and achieving abundant longevity and vitality. Instead, the enormous amount raised from the donations of well-intended people goes in large part to drug companies – to BIG PHARMA – so that these companies can continue to manufacture their chemicals and brainwash us into thinking health and happiness come in the form of a little orange bottle with a white cap and a typed label.

April 10th, all of this changes. The morning of April 10th will mark a celebration of the human healing power, of responsible lifestyle choices for ourselves and for the people who depend on us, of overcoming adversity, and of understanding that all health, wealth, happiness, knowledge, and wisdom comes not from without – but from within. Join us in continuing to bring the truth to the masses, in saving and transforming lives, and in holding up the human race.

“If you can’t fly, run. If you can’t run, walk. If you can’t walk, crawl.

But by all means, keep moving.” ~Martin Luther King, Jr.

Maximum Blessings,

Dr. Isaac Hernandez

How the Extreme Makeover has Changed My Life!

By: Sheri J.

Change is tough! Changing your lifelong belief system that is main stream is even tougher. The Extreme Makeovers have made me aware of different changes that I have needed to make in my life to live healthier, happier, and more physically fit. This is my 6th Extreme Makeover and each Makeover has made incremental changes in my life and by association my family’s lives. My girls and I have been patients of Dr. Dan’s for almost 5 years. I found Dr. Dan because I was searching for a more natural way to correct my daughter’s ADHD than the medication Strattera she was using. I came and listened to the Doctor’s report that Dr. Dan gave and knew this was the path that I wanted her to take as well as the rest of my family. She has been off Strattera for almost 4 years now, is a sophomore in high school and achieved a 3.9 on her grades last semester. Between getting adjusted every week and by implementing things I’ve learned about eating from the Extreme Makeovers, she has no need for the medication. Seeing her reach her potential is a blessing!

During each Extreme Makeover I have been challenged to make changes in my life and eating habits. In the first Extreme Makeover I attended, I learned that I really didn’t eat as healthy as I thought. I challenged myself to stop drinking coffee and using artificial sweeteners. We were taught to make just 1% changes and that was what I tried to do. Each Extreme Makeover I have made changes and continued these changes. I started drinking half my body weight in ounces of water each day. Then I added ¼ tsp of salt to the first quart of water I drank each day for a natural detoxification. I started cooking with Coconut Oil and my family really liked it.

Next came changing out the meats we ate for Publix Greenwise meats. At first my husband wasn’t sure about that change, but now he insists it tastes sooo much better. I started reading labels and eliminating foods from my house that had bad fats and bad sugars, especially high fructose corn syrup. I made more and more 1% changes that were really adding up. These changes were making a big difference in my health as well as my family’s.

The biggest change in my life happened last May. I discovered a leak under my kitchen sink. Mold was growing behind my cabinets. My health was compromised by the mold. I had a VCS test done in Dr. Dan’s office. I failed it! I had passed it before so I knew there was a definite problem. I didn’t feel good and I couldn’t concentrate or focus. After failing the VCS test I was given the dreaded news, “You must go on the Advanced Healing Diet to get well.” Wow! I had tried to do this diet once before with my daughter several years before and failed miserably. At that time I didn’t know enough about how to do it and the support system at Dr. Dan’s was not as established as it is now. I started the Advanced Healing Diet immediately. Not only was the diet a challenge, but I no longer had a kitchen to cook in.

The insurance company gutted my 1958 kitchen and killed the mold. My kitchen was blocked off with plastic for more than a week. So, I cooked on the gas grill outside. The grill also had one burner that I could use pots and pans on. We got a convection/microwave oven (I only use the convection oven) that was eventually installed in our new kitchen. I washed my dishes, pots, and pans in the shower or bathroom sink. We mostly ate at home so that I could eat healthier and we could save money for the kitchen we now had to install. It was July before I had a workable unfinished kitchen. It was September before my kitchen was completed.

Since May, I have come a long way on the Advanced Healing Diet. It is now just the way I eat. My family is not eating anything different than me when I cook so they are also reaping the benefits of a good diet. My health is much better. I have lots of energy. I feel younger. I feel great and my head is not cloudy. I am still about 90% on the Advanced Healing Diet after 10 months. Dr. Fernandez said I could eat certain grains to help increase my BMI. I could not have been as successful on the Advanced Healing Diet without the knowledge that I gained from the Extreme Makeovers, Dr. Dan, Dr. Fernandez and the YFCC staff, the Ambassador Healing Diet Support Group (which I helped start) and my good friend Diana who is also on the Advanced Healing Diet and is my accountability partner.

This Extreme Makeover I set goals to increase my BMI (Dr. Fernandez said I needed to raise it), increase my exercise and eat more veggies. I started working out with Max twice a week (YFCC boot camps). He has helped me raise my BMI as well as my muscle mass, muscle tone, strength, and endurance. I am working on incorporating more veggies into my meals or snacks. I now drink the Green Vibrance and Vega every morning. It is my “coffee”. My body craves it. I also drink green veggie smoothies with added wheat grass almost every day.

Every Extreme Makeover gives me encouragement and surrounds me with like minded individuals that give me inspiration. In July 2010 you will see me at the next Extreme Makeover, because God isn’t finished with me yet!

The Benefit of Exercise on the Brain

Benefit of exercise on the brain is the generation of large amounts of serotonin, the lack of which is why people take drugs such as Zoloft, Paxil, Effexor, and Prozac.

Exercise naturally boosts serotonin, which improves mood and can even snap you out of depression. It improves memory, decreases anxiety, helps with cognition, increases attention and focus, and helps with learning, especially for children. Children who exercise receive all the above benefits and therefore develop and grow healthier than kids who don’t. Because their brains are healthier, their bodies are healthier.

The more we exercise, the more oxygen we push into our bloodstream, the healthier we’re going to be and, thus, the more energy we’re going to generate. When we move, our cells get energized as they become oxygenated. Oxygen and glucose are the primary driving forces in the production of energy within a cell, so the more oxygen you can drive into a cell, the more energy you’ll have.

Getting to the cause!

Dealing with the cause; this is what chiropractic is all about. The miracle of chiropractic lies within its ability to find the underlying cause of dis-ease, sickness, and pain and to remove its source; without drugs or surgery. Why deal with symptoms when you can deal in CAUSE! If a person has diabetes, heart disease, cancer, neck pain, asthma, or headaches, etc. they will get NO better from drugging or treating their condition; in fact, they will get much worse over time, since drugs and other medical TREATMENTS seek to cover up, mask, or band-aid the symptoms while the person’s body is actually getting worse and more dis-eased; this will almost certainly cause an untimely death. Seems obvious, but not obvious enough to the 1.1 million Americans who were killed last year due to living a “covering up” lifestyle and followed their medical doctor’s advice of drugs and surgery to “fix” their problem.

One of the most important concepts to understand is that the PARTS are always more important than the WHOLE! For example, if you have a sick kidney or sick kidney cells, it is impossible for the rest of your body to be well. The kidney needs to be nourished with the right nutrients, plenty of healthy water, and most importantly full nerve supply. Even if the rest of the body is seemingly healthy, it never really will be if the filtering system is not truly functional. If the parts are sick, the whole will be sick. Likewise, if you treat a person with a heart problem with heart medications, that person’s entire body will suffer ill effects and never truly be well. In fact, the heart problem along with the medications will make that person’s entire body dis-eased.

The most critical component in staying well or keeping the parts healthy is making sure that the communication system that runs the body is free and clear of nerve interference (subluxation). Subluxation robs the body of vital messages that are designed to tell each and every tissue cell exactly how to run. Each tissue cell must receive healthy messages first, then the rest of the body can be well.

Chiropractic is based on a SIMPLE truth; that the body needs no help to heal, just no interference. To the right you will see under “normal” a picture of a healthy brain-body connection, where the brain is communicating with the cells of the body properly. Under phase I, II, & III, you are looking at spinal cords that are being interfered with due to stretching and compression; and as a result will be sending distorted messages to the cells of the body. Which spinal cord would you rather have? Which person do you think will be healthier? Which person do you think will live longer? Which person do you think will heal from the flu faster? Which person do you think has a better survival rate if they’re diagnosed with cancer? You see, this is why I became a chiropractor. It’s simple, it makes sense, it works, and because it is based on God’s laws of health and healing, it produces AWESOME CHANGES. Chiropractic’s only goal is to remove any and all interference to the brain-body communication, thus allowing the brain to send clearer messages to all tissue cells of the body; thereby elevating the healing potential of the entire body and allowing it to heal itself. The chiropractor isn’t the doctor! The doctor is already inside the patient. The chiropractor is just the facilitator.
