Q & A W/ DR. D

Patient comments: I’ve been coming to Yachter Family Chiropractic Center for 1 year, and I’m now “worse” than I’ve been in the last 4 years. This year my allergies are worse, I’m in daily pain, and I have had asthma and lung congestion for the last 4 months, and it won’t go away. I try to come to your workshops, but all of your events are on Monday night. This is my bingo night/bowling night/movie night/yoga night/Bible study night/ pizza night, etc., etc. Plus, I already know all of that stuff anyway. I also know that you told my family we need to do the spinal exercises & make our weekly adjustment schedule, but I just don’t have time. Besides, I really didn’t think the spinal exercises were that important anyway.

Dr. Dan responds: Just for the record, God cares more about you and your welfare than He does about your pizza night, your bingo night, or your Bible study! God certainly wants you to study His word, but He wants you strong and healthy while you’re performing this duty. Your bingo night, movie night, or Bible study isn’t going to help you while you’re lying on your death bed at the age of 55, riddled with cancer, with chemotherapy drugs coursing through your veins & arteries. If you don’t believe me, then ask any pastor who neglected their health for years & is now sick, diseased, and dying. God not only wants us to be a great steward of our spiritual life, but he demands that we are great stewards over our bodies & physical health. It is in fact a spiritual act of worship to maintain your health on the highest level. If you want to heal on the highest level at Yachter Family Chiropractic Center then it is imperative that you attend our advanced workshops that teach the most cutting-edge knowledge on how to build and nurture an outstanding level of health for life. If you are not willing to participate in what our office offers in the way of resources and the fastest/most successful healing strategies, then you will not heal properly. The exercises are not a luxury, they are a necessity. If you as a patient choose to avoid the exercises, when you have been instructed to utilize them for optimal nerve system correction, then YFCC cannot be held responsible for your lack of progress. If you don’t make your recommended adjustment visits, the same concept applies. The doctor’s best recommendations are exactly that: his best. If you choose to alter the plan, then you do so at the risk of jeopardizing the results that we both want. I would also find it very difficult to believe that you know all that stuff anyway, regarding the workshop material; being that we have patients who have attended well over 150 workshops, including participating in over 7 different Extreme Makeover events covering the last 5 years. These patients keep coming back for two reasons: mastery of the material and permanent lifestyle changes require time. There is no way that you can legitimately & honestly make this comment, if you’ve never attended. And believe me, your kids won’t mind you missing a football game or cheerleading practice, while their mother or father dedicates themselves to becoming a healthier, stronger, and more dedicated parent. They will applaud you, and so will God. In addition, if you are really knowing & doing all the stuff, then fill out a 5 day diet diary, and let’s evaluate it together to ensure that you already have committed to making the proper lifestyle changes, are living the 5 Essentials of Maximized Living, and are consistently applying what you have learned.
When keeping the body in health and vigor, one walks in the way of God — it
being impossible during sickness to have any understanding or knowledge of
the Creator — it is a person’s duty to avoid whatever is injurious to the
body and cultivate habits conducive to health and vigor. --Moses
Maimonides
At YFCC we want you well. We want to see you succeed. We want the best for you. We want to see you prosper. But you need to be healthy to be a success at your endeavors. To be healthy you must first resolve to do what is necessary to be healthy. Then it really is a matter of removing interferences to that health. Removing the nerve interference must be a priority. Remove those things that interfere with getting the proper rest, eating well, detoxifying, regular exercise, great attitude, a purposeful life, and living the 5 essentials of Maximized Living.

The path to getting well is non-negotiable. Full commitment is what makes dreams come true. Maybe not overnight, but eventually!
